Norbrook Laboratories has announced the appointment of Robert McLintock and Nigel Otter to its senior management team.

Mr McLintock has joined the company from Abbott UK to assume the role of national veterinary sales manager, while Mr Otter has been appointed from Merial to fill the post of head of marketing for the UK and Ireland.

Both are well-known and highly respected industry veterans, and will be tasked with helping Norbrook to maintain the sustained growth it has seen in recent years.

Over the last 12 months, the company has launched 11 products and increased its sales by 15 percent, with further new drugs set to be introduced in the medium-term future.

Bob Ferguson, general manager at Norbrook Laboratories, said: "It is testament to Norbrook's success and ambition that we can attract senior staff of such a high calibre to lead our company into the future."

Last month, Norbrook agreed a deal with Bayer HealthCare that saw the latter company receiving exclusive rights to distribute Norbrook products in France and Germany.
