Chime Communications to purchase Succinct Communications

Chime Communications has strengthened its healthcare marketing services through the acquisition of Succinct Communications for an initial two million pound cash consideration.

The group will purchase 100 percent of the share capital of Succinct, a leading provider of medical communications for prescription medicines, which will become part of Chime's Open Health division.

Succinct's existing leadership team of Sean McGrath and Lisa Dodgshon will form a new executive board for the business alongside Open Health staff members Sandy Royden, David Rowley and Roger Selman.

The newly purchased company was formed in 2000 and employs around 40 people, with clients including major firms such as Sanofi, Roche, GlaxoSmithKline and Merck Sharpe and Dohme.

Chime believes the acquisition will allow it to become more competitive in the healthcare communications sector.

David Rowley, chief executive of Open Health, said: "Sean and Lisa have built a fabulous business in Succinct Communications and I have no doubt that in partnership with Open Health, the company will continue its impressive growth curve."
