Zimmer shows reconstructive and trauma products at conference

Medical Company Product News

Zimmer is attending an industry conference this week in order to showcase its latest medical device offerings in the reconstructive and trauma fields.

At this year's European Federation of National Associations of Orthopaedics and Traumatology (Efort) Congress the firm is hosting three events to demonstrate a range of different products.

These include its Trabecular Metal technology for knee revisions and its Fitmore hip stem, both of which are designed to allow for patient anatomy to be reconstructed more accurately.

It will also showcase its Natural Nail range of intramedullary implants for bone reconstruction, as well as its full Integrated Taper Cup Systems portfolio.

Katarzyna Mazur, senior vice-president of EMEA sales and marketing and general manager at Zimmer, said: "Zimmer seeks and welcomes feedback from the surgeon community to help improve our products and offer patients the best in musculoskeletal care."

In April, Zimmer published its financial report for the first quarter of 2010, a three-month period which saw the firm improve its net sales by 7.1 per cent year-on-year.
