Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics has been awarded a three-year contract to supply the Premier healthcare alliance with medical equipment and diagnostic tools.
Under the terms of the deal, which commences in April 2010, Siemens will provide Premier members with access to products such as plasma protein analysers, the Stratus CS Acute Cardiac Care System, Advia immunoassay systems and various diagnostic tests.
These tools will help to support Premier's global activities, which include lending assistance to the NHS in the north-west of England, as well as extensive work in the US.
In addition, Siemens will also be helping Premier members to improve the efficiency of their laboratories via the body's Accelerated Supply Chain Endeavor programme.
Donal Quinn, chief executive officer of Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics, said: "We are proud to continue our relationship with Premier and are committed to providing Premier members with one of the most comprehensive portfolios of diagnostic services and solutions in the industry."
Earlier this month, the company released a new medical testing product, Innovance PFA P2Y, which identifies the risk of major bleeding among patients undergoing certain treatments.See all the latest jobs in Medical Devices
