Bausch and Lomb receives visit from Russian delegates

Medical Company Product News

Bausch and Lomb has asserted the visit from Russian delegates to its Waterford plant was a great opportunity to show customers its professional standards.

A group of 31 managers, administrators, owners and opticians from Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States went to the Irish factory where eye healthcare products ? including contact lenses ? are produced.

Paula Tebay, the company's exports and customer relations manager, said it was a good chance for them to see how the items they sell are manufactured and added everyone at the plant was pleased to welcome them.

Larissa Dombrovskaya is the firm's sales manager for the Volga, Ural, Siberia and Far East regions of Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States and she led the visit.

As well as being a useful trip, Ms Dombrovskaya noted everyone was impressed by the greeting and the customers received important information.

"They came away even more confident of the excellence of the products made in Waterford, which provides them with huge motivation to sell more," she stated.

Last month, Bausch and Lomb completed a deal with 20/10 Perfect Vision to create a new business called Technolas Perfect Vision.
