Contracts Manager

LOCATION: Middlesex

REPORTING TO: Commercial Director

KEY OBJECTIVES:
" To provide a high level of customer service to internal and external customers through the efficient and effective management of our commercial pricing and added value contracts in UK and Ireland

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
" Screen all published tenders and request documentation as appropriate
" Liaise with field based teams to identify forthcoming tenders and opportunities
" Provide expertise and strategic input to support decision making on the correct approach to such tenders and development of value-added or volume related offers
" To gain any necessary approval from Global Head Office and maintain UK and Ireland prices in Global Pricing Database
" Submit correct and timely tender documentation
" Provide standardised documentation to support other contracts that are agreed with customers directly by field based teams
" Develop and maintain our contracts database and update prices in SAP where appropriate
" Develop and maintain our rebates database and ensure timely and accurate payments
" Develop effective reporting on individual contract performance back to those responsible (Customer and company)
" Provide effective reporting on aggregated contract performance by type to the company and recommendations for improvement

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

Educated to degree level or similar (preferably life sciences or business degree)

A credible level of sustained successful Commercial experience within the Pharma Industry.

Have written and managed Pharma- NHS contracts.

ERP system experience.

Demonstrable success in developing systems and processes.

Highly organised, analytical, excellent with systems eg Advanced Excel and Databases

Good understanding of NHS and the UK market place.

Clear written and verbal communication and highly numerate.

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

Used SAP (Sales).

Worked in NHS contracting or commissioning.

Understanding of Contract & Competition Law.

Understanding Finance and Accounting practices.

Understanding of Procurement practices.
