Role Overview

Job Purpose
Installation, Service, Breakdown and sales support for analytical instruments within the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland.

Principle Accountabilities

•  Preventive and Corrective maintenance of analytical nstruments
•  Installations of analytical instruments - IQ/OQ
•  Train users in the use of software and the technical operation of analytical instruments
•  Be the "reference" for a defined product range

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Job Content
•  Liaise directly with Sales & Service Co-Ordinator in regards day to day operations
•  Installation of new analytical Instruments at customer site around the UK & Ireland
•  To contact and organize Preventive Maintenance visits to existing customers
•  To attend customer site for the repair of instrument breakdown
•  To diagnose, both remotely and on customer site, instrument faults
•  Actively promote service agreements
•  Actively promote the sale of consumable and spare parts
•  Extensive travel throughout the UK & Ireland
•  Assist Sales Engineers with customer feedback and demonstrations to provide new sales enquiries.
•  To demonstrate the performance of the instrument with customer samples
•  To look for new markets
•  To collect information about key markets
•  Complete all documentation in a timely manner
•  Comply fully with company policies

Person Specification

•  Electrical / Electronic / Chemical Engineering education.
•  Have experience in the service of analytical instruments preferably with Inductively Coupled Plasma (ICP) technique
•  Fluent English, German appreciated
•  High level of communication/Interpersonal skills (Verbal and written)
•  Must be self-motivated, able to work alone and with others
•  Good organizational skills
•  Computer literate
