We are recruiting on behalf of a manufacturer of high quality analytical systems in the UK water industry who are looking for a field service engineer to join their team!

Key Duties and Responsibilities

•  Carry out and have experience of Field Service work including commissioning, calibration, repair and routine maintenance on a wide variety of our customer sites but preferably within Power, Potable Water, Life Sciences & Industrial Markets.
•  Experience of site procedures and working practices would be advantageous including accepting, suspending and clearing work permits.
•  Experience of writing Risk Assessments and Method Statements.Carry out in-house repairs and calibrations as required.
•  To work to local and industry procedures and to comply with industry codes of practice and all work undertaken to be carried out within the company Health & Safety guidelines.
•  Keep and maintain spares inventory in company vehicle for non-contract use
•  Ensure that Safety Passport, EUSR National Water Hygiene (Blue Card) & IOSH Managing Safely etc are kept up to date.
•  Provision of telephone and email support in response to our customers technical queries

Person Specification

•  Ideally 3 - 5 years successful experience as a service technician or 3 - 5 years experience within an analytical instrumentation/calibration role
•  Experience with servicing and calibration of analytical instrumentation is preferred
•  Full, valid, clean driving licence and ability to travel UK wide
•  Problem solving and diagnostic skills
•  Service mentality, customer focus
•  Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
•  Self-motivated and a flexible approach to working activities
