Exciting Opportunity for a Sales Representative to join a Global Leader within Optical and Digital solutions as a Microsystems Account Manager!

This is a field based role covering the Cambridge area.

You will have the responsibility for proactively seeking out opportunities to build new business relationships across all microscopy applications and markets, with the exception of Industrial and Clinical customers.

Essential to this position will be an enthusiasm to drive the business in a competitive market, combined with detailed and accurate pipeline activity.

Demonstration of good technical skills gained in a life science environment or similar scientific sales role would be a distinct advantage.

The successful candidate will have:-
•  An understanding of the sales process and be able to build rapport with customers.
•  Have an outgoing personality with the ability to engage with customers to influence their purchasing decisions.
•  Be able to empathise and accurately sense the reactions of other people to build trust and so influence them with a personal touch.
•  Be self-motivated and maintain a positive outlook even when faced with challenges and obstacles along the way.
•  Possess the most successful trait all high achieving salespeople have in common: Persistence!
•  Show strong organisational and time management skills.
•  Be "techno-savvy", not only with their own Product Portfolio and computer literacy, but also understand how the Internet and online marketing concepts can help promote the "sale"

REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION
•  Proven Sales record in a similar environment.
•  Ability to drive business success by demonstrating consistent and hardworking sales growth over a period of time.
•  Technical ability to demonstrate Microscopy & Imaging products.
•  Strong communication skills and sound business acumen.
•  Effective time management and personal organisation.

Education
•  Whilst a degree in the Life Sciences, or equivalent is preferable, of equal value is strong sales experience in a relevant industry. A background in microscopy would also be helpful.
