Role Overview

Responsible for sales, marketing, and commercial activities for the molecular business area within the geographic area. To work with the UK and Ireland General Manager to develop, achieve and maintain business growth and market share through the execution of sales and marketing activity execution for the specific business area and within designated geographical Area. Responsible for developing and executing short, medium, and long-term strategic plans and annual sales targets and on-going customer account management. Establish and maintain high level Key Opinion Leader (KOL) relationships and to be an ambassador for the company's manufactured and distributed products

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Sales Activities:
o Drive the sale performance for the business area within the geographic area
o Deliver sales target in line with revenue and growth commitments
o Deliver periodic forecasts vs. budget expectations
o Management of revenue as required in line with the national plan
o Plan and deliver customer demonstrations in line with the Applications and Service Manager
o Manage complex sales activities with internal and external stakeholders.

•  Marketing Activities:
o Develop marketing plan in conjunction with the General Manager
o Work with the marketing team on promotional materials performance
o Assist in the execution of local marketing activities with internal stakeholders
o Share materials and concepts with the Social Media Manager to promote products

•  Commercial Activities
o Identify appropriate tenders and requests for quotations in the region
o Manage tender bids, submissions, and negotiations in the region and utilise in ternal resources as required
o Deliver monthly forecasts vs. budget expectations and management of revenue as required in line with the national plan.
o Assist with regulatory affairs requirements (such as MHRA) requirements related to the business and related products.

Business activity:
o Attend distributor review meetings along with the General Manager Understands customers and companys business and financial drivers to developing business solutions.
o Visit distributors offices as required for product launches and updates as required.
o Identify potential partners to compliment range of solutions.

Other:
o Build strong relationships with internal team members and external contacts based on trust and communication.
o Develop, manage, and negotiate new and ongoing purchasing agreements with buying groups and KOLs in their region.
o Collaborate with other team members and other resources in the UK and other locations to achieve desired outcomes.
o Builds and leverages relationships at all levels and networks both internally and externally to achieve desired results.

Person Specification

Experience in the molecular field, ideally in a commercial role
Degree or higher in scientific or business-related field
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite,
• Experience with CRM systems and financial systems such as Sage
• Holds current drivers licence
