Mission: The Product, Application and Sales Specialist (PASS) is responsible to achieve the regional sales and profit targets for the business unit through promotion of BU products and platforms, identification and follow-up on sales opportunities. The PASS works with the regional sales team to execute the local sales strategy. The PASS drives the development of the customer specific technical solution and provides input into the bid documents . The PASS works with the customer to extend the breadth of assays run on Siemens systems. The PASS provides product and platform expertise.

Internal: Business Manager, Marketing Manager, Product Manager, Account Managers, Regional Sales Managers, Business Development Managers, Service team, HCS, Bid Management Team, Commercial Operations.

Responsibilities:

Sales process: Participate in sales projects as directed by the Business Manager and the Regional Sales Manager. Align with Account Managers on local sales action plans (strategic selling) and account strategy. Promote BU products and platforms to new and existing accounts to achieve BU sales and profit targets. Identify, monitor and follow-up on new sales prospects and ad hoc sales opportunities.
Sales support: Provide product specific platform, technical and application expertise during the sales process. Conduct product demonstrations, present instruments and hold presentations in front of customers. Identify and report training needs and support training for BU products.
Bid development: Define the technical solution (platforms, customer specific configurations) for the bid in alignment with the customer requirements and agreement with the Account Manager and the Business Development Manager. Provide product-specific expertise involving the Business Manager if further high-level expertise or clarifications are needed. Prepare/write the technical / product sections of bid documents (e.g. general specification sections on systems and system/ test performance).
Assay penetration: Contribute to sales growth by promoting and extending the breadth of product usage to the customer. Document assay usage and compliance with contracts. Identify opportunities for assay/menu extension and other up-selling opportunities. Work with Account Managers to capture sales opportunities. Support customers to ensure that extensions are implemented in the fastest possible time frame.
Customer interaction: Develop and maintain relationships with customers to support customer satisfaction and ensure transparency of customer needs with in the organisation.
Reference sites: Support the Business Manager to establish key reference sites for the BU business
Customer training: Identify and deliver on-site system training to new operators and refresher training to existing users.
Know-how and expertise: Keep up to date with product developments, clinical and market trends and develop standing as expert inside the organisation and with customers.

Personne Profil

Proven experience in Molecular or Microbiology laboratory.
Proven track record in developing and implementing strategies to successfully meet deadlines and performance targets.
Proven ability to deliver presentations to NHS Management. Sales and Scientific skills used in external delivery of healthcare solutions. Track record of delivering innovative and cost effective solutions.

Excellent communication skills to be able to work with customers and internal staff.
Must be able to demonstrate a high level of self motivation and professionalism.
Knowledge of laboratory medicine as practiced in National Health Service Laboratories.
Professional Selling Skills.
Excellent presentation skills for written and verbal communication.
Ability to liaise with various departments to increase customer loyalty in key accounts.
Analytically minded with proven troubleshooting skills for Molecular and Microbiology systems.
Candidate must have direct professional experience and in depth knowledge in Molecular and Microbiology products & platforms, their clinical use and interpretation.
History of proven networking skills both internally and externally.
