As the European subsidiary of SPEX CertiPrep Inc., we are responsible for the sales, marketing and distribution throughout Europe of the comprehensive range of Certified Reference Materials. The Account Manager will be responsible for sales and marketing of our Certified Reference Materials in the UK and Europe primarily through appointed distributors in addition to some direct sales.

The Certified Reference Materials business has shown large growth over the past few years. We believe the successful candidate will make a major contribution to the growth of the company while participating in an interesting and varied sector of the scientific equipment industry.

Key Job Functions
" Distributor management with a focus on tracking sales and relationship development
" Respond to technical customer enquiries
" Sales tasks including lead generation, follow-up, quotations and negotiation
" Attend trade shows, conferences and instrument manufacturer's user group meetings
" Visit key accounts and distributors
" Marketing such as direct mail and e-blasts, press releases and distributor training packs
" Support in market research to assess and increase market share
" The position may requires about 25% travel

Personne Profil

" Science graduate preferably chemical sciences
" Minimum 5 years sales experience preferably in the laboratory equipment sector
" Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and strong negotiation skills
" Ability to communicate technical product information to both technical and non- technical professionals
" Eager to learn the business and able to offer creative ideas on ways to continually improve it
" Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
" Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point and preferably ACT CRM program
